Opera II Version 6.50 - This release includes the new Service Management and Executive Dashboards Manager modules, enhancements to existing modules including new features for Document Management, and new releases of Executive Dashboards, Pegasus XRL, Pegasus Instant Messenger, and the Developers Integration Tool. Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3 have also been tested.
Service Management is a new module for Opera II Enterprise that includes a Helpdesk feature. The Document Management module has also been updated to link to the Service Management module.
Executive Dashboards Manager (EDM) is a new module for Opera II Enterprise that allows you to design and publish your own Dashboard items in the Executive Dashboards product.
A new installation Setup menu is now displayed when the Opera II disk is inserted in a CD drive. The menu makes it easier to install Opera II, Online Filing Manager, Pegasus Instant Messenger, Document Management, and Executive Dashboards, along with the other software prerequisites to run these Pegasus products. The installation programme for Pegasus Document Management has changed so it can be run from the new menu.
Enhancements to this release are:
- In the Purchase Ledger, documents can be captured in PIR when the Must use Authorisation option in Purchase Ledger Set Options is selected or not selected.
- In the Purchase Ledger and Cashbook, a BACS file can now be renamed if it has not been transmitted by the bank’s software. This was already possible in the Payroll module.
- In the Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Invoicing, SOP, and POP modules the size of the Reference 1, Reference 2, and customer reference fields have been increased to 20 characters.
- In the POP and Stock modules, a supplier’s reference can now be changed on an existing supplier product record.
- In the Nominal Ledger, the Journal Reprint report now displays the detail in the same order as it was entered in the Nominal Ledger. The report also now displays separate columns for debit and credit values.
- In the Sales Pipeline Management module:
- A new view – SPM Today - is now available on the Tasks menu. This view displays any activities, Helpdesk calls, and sales quotations that are due or overdue. Sales Opportunities are also displayed. There are also views for contacts and equipment items.
- The New Site form that is accessed from Contacts Processing now includes drop down fields for Service Area and Billing Priority. This information is used on any Helpdesk calls for the contact.
- The Invoicing or SOP customer form, or the POP supplier form can now be opened from Company Processing.
